The International Shipping Specialist is responsible for all aspects of international shipping activities. It is preferred that the International Shipper be knowledgeable with Freight Forwarding and U.S./ Foreign Customs brokerage activities to track and execute shipments successfully and on time. The International Shipper will also need to be knowledgeable in hazmat packaging and shipping.

• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
• Responsible for shipping operations for all Cirrus Aftermarket outbound movements
• Responsible to maintain adequate flow of outbound hazardous and international shipments
• Investigate and solve issues related to shipping discrepancies
• Generate and maintain SOPs for packaging & shipping standards
• Able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
• Package and ship hazardous materials in accordance with domestic and international regulations
• Generate paperwork for shipments going through freight forwarding companies
• Use ERP system to process orders
• Maintain work area in a neat, organized, and clean manner at all times
• Work with inventory team when inaccuracies are discovered
• Work with Quality Assurance to correct any FAA 8130-3 forms

• High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college or training in a logistics field required
• 2+ years of experience in a shipping or logistics field required
• Prior use of Shipping Solutions or similar software is preferred
• Ability to pass hazardous material training to obtain certification for shipping and handling
• Ability to demonstrate sound judgement and effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to effectively manage stress, including competing work demands and multiple projects at the same time.
• Be self-motivated and maintain consistent activity
• Able to contribute a positive attitude while handling external pressures
• Familiarity with 49 CFR and IATA regulations preferred
