Read, interpret, and inspect to engineering drawings, procedures, specifications, and manufacturing requirements.
Perform nondestructive testing activities, equipment calibration verification, and inspection activities per approved technical references.
Interpret and evaluate NDT results and determine product acceptance or rejection.
Maintain detailed inspection records, non-conformance reports, and corrective action documentation.
Communicate findings and quality concerns to manufacturing, engineering, and management teams.
Conduct audits of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality systems.
Identify, document, and report non-conformances and support root cause and corrective action activities.
Participate as a member of MRB, corrective action, and change management activities.
Assist management in assigning First Article and audit activities.
Apply quality control methods to monitor process capability, verify product conformity, identify recurring defect trends, and recommend corrective actions that improve yield and reduce rework.
Use data-driven quality tools, including root cause analysis, defect tracking, audit findings, and inspection history, to drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, and customer satisfaction.
Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, manufacturing processes, productivity, and safety.
Operate independently and objectively while supporting process improvement, standardization, and change management efforts.
Coach and support manufacturing personnel in defining and implementing continuous improvement actions.
Identify and champion cross-functional continuous improvement projects spanning multiple departments.
Provide leadership in structured problem-solving efforts to improve safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
Serve as a senior quality resource by mentoring inspectors and production personnel, supporting decision-making on complex quality issues, and escalating risks with clear technical justification.
Demonstrate leadership qualities and act as a quality resource for manufacturing teams.
Ensure compliance with work instructions, quality procedures, regulatory requirements, and 6S principles.
Document quality improvements, cost avoidance, defect reduction, and process efficiency gains to demonstrate the business value of the role and support appropriate compensation alignment.
Maintain clean and orderly work areas and use required PPE.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum two years of aerospace quality assurance, quality control, or inspection experience preferred.
Certifications such as ASNT UT/VT/ST, CQI, or equivalent are a plus.
Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, FAA regulations, and aerospace manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.
Knowledge of quality management systems, inspection methods, and quality tools.
Demonstrated ability to use quality control metrics, inspection data, and continuous improvement tools to reduce defects, improve first-pass yield, and support measurable operational results.
Strong leadership, facilitation, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Experience leading or participating in continuous improvement and change management initiatives preferred.
Ability to influence cross-functional teams, prioritize high-impact quality risks, and communicate business value associated with quality control and process improvement outcomes.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and sound judgment.
